Disability Discrimination Act

The churches are taking active steps to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (1995) Ammendment Regulations (2003) as explained below:

Christ Church

Building Access

Access to Christ Church is from the footpath on Rothley Road via a raised step under the lych-gate, and up a tarmac path to the main entrance door. The Parish Council has provided a wider tarmac path from The Navins to the side gate of Christ Church. This will provide more convenient access for wheel chairs and motorised chairs.

Hearing Loop

Christ Church provides a hearing aid loop for people who are hard of hearing. To take advantage of this facility switch your hearing aid to the “T” position.

Access and facilities will also be improved as part of the forthcoming building work at Christ Church.

Saint Peter’s

Building Access

Access to Saint Peter’s Church is from the footpath on Loughborough Road, via a step-up and a slightly inclined cobble footpath to the main entrance door.
