Rev. Ruth Lambert: Curate moving on
After three years with us as Curate in Mountsorrel, Rev. Ruth Lambert has left Mountsorrel to take up a post as hospital chaplain.

Sunday 8th August 2004 was Ruth's last Sunday in Mountsorrel, and a presentation was made to her during the service at Christ Church, and after the sevice there was a joint bring & share lunch arranged by Christ Church and Saint Peter's churches.

We wish Ruth and her husband Malcolm all the best for the future.

Thank you from Ruth
As you all know, we had to part company on Sunday 8th August as I was about to start my new job as hospital chaplain.  So far it's going well, so long as I can manage to get the hospital computer programes to behave!  Some of you may have seen the insert in the 'Echo'; and although I hate to contradict the press, I am in fact based at Leicester General and not Glenfield.  However the article was right about the quality of the send-off I was given; and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your generous gifts, cards, good wishes, prayers and not least the marvellous lunch!   Both the services and the meal were joyous occasions.  Thank you all. I’m sure the time will quickly pass and soon Kerry and Tricia will be with you.  Meanwhile, as the old hymn goes, 'God be with you till we meet again...'
